The BIC brings together resources of photonic imaging and electronic imaging mainly in the areas of health and plant research. The platform has obtained the national label IBISA (Health Iinfrastructure in Biology and Agronomy).
The BIC meets the following equipments: A STED microscope, a PALM microscope, 7 confocal microscopes with specialized applications (spinning-disk FRAP FLIM, FRET-FLIM, multiphoton for electrophysiology ...), a video-microscope FRAP, 5 epifluorescence microscopes, a Macroscope, 4 electron microscopes (3 TEM + 1 SEM), 3 units of high pressure cryofixation (1 HPM 100 + 2 EMPACT 1), 2 devices for cryosubstitution (AFS), 3 ultramicrotomes and several microtomes, 6 stations of image analysis + peripheral equipments.
